We are always trying to move forward in our unique creation/building process… This is a quick glimpse of a very special project that we are working on. The last parts are always the slowest and most tedious… The Devil is indeed in the details! Heres a quick walk through of this backyard Water Feature…
Now, all we lack is ”finishing up” 😊
Its gonna be a nice one when its all said and done!
Enjoy your #waterfallwednesday!

Monday mornings are a little different… A new week starts now. Time to make the doughnuts… Are you ready? Being mentally prepared is the key 🔐 It helps me to relax and focus to listen to the sound of flowing water 🌊 Check this video out and see what you think.
Did you listen? Do you see what I mean? Its a scientific fact, that being around moving, flowing water, ie; Waterfalls 🌊 makes your heart rate drop, it lowers blood pressure, it helps you to breath easier and you get an almost immediate feeling of relaxation. I for one can attest to all these things, because I visit mine daily 😊
Its Monday! Get out there and have a Great week!

Today has been like the rest of this entire week… Long and Beautiful! 🌞 Fall came in with cool temps and blue skies. We got out on the lake today to enjoy a little time off and to officially welcome in Fall.

Although I hate the Summer being behind us, Fall is always a beautiful, welcome season… Here’s to Fall!🍁🔥🏈
“Where are the songs of Spring? Ay, where are they?
Think not of them, thou hast thy music too, –
While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day
And touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue;
Then in a wailful choir the small gnats mourn
Among the river sallows, borne aloft
Or sinking as the light wind lives or dies;
And full-grown lambs loud bleat from hilly bourn;
Hedge-crickets sing, and now with treble soft
The redbreast whistles from a garden-croft;
And gathering swallows twitter in the skies.”

Good Morning! This morning is the last morning of late Summer… tomorrow is the Autumnal Equinox, ie; The 1st day of Fall 🍁

I always try to post proactive things you can do to keep your Water Garden clean and your Koi healthy over the Fall & Winter. Things like – Cutting your aquatic plants back, using pond netting, watching your skimmer more closely, feeding Cool Temp Koi Food, etc. – There’s another very important thing you can do to really keep your ecosystem active and working well
– Switch to Cool Season Beneficial Bacteria!

Our Cold Water Beneficial Bacteria works and keeps on working when the plants and fish aren’t active and really helps the quality of your Pond Water! It is extremely effective at reducing sludge, dead and decaying leaves and plants, built up fish waste & excess nutrients like ammonia, nitrates & phosphates. These things make for poor water quality, reduced water clarity and can have catastrophic effects on your fishes health.
The next piece of ’Low Hanging Fruit’ im going to serve up is this : Every Pond should have a floating Pond thermometer 🌡 Our finned friends are cold blooded & water temperature is very important when it comes to seasonal feeding times. Pick one up at Carters Nursery, Pond & Patio today.

The last Pond Tip for today is this – “Our Koi have eaten well this year & have put on a good bit of fat to get them through the Cool Season ahead. Now is the time that many of my clients and fellow Koi enthusiasts start asking a very important question…
– When do I stop feeding regular food and start feeding Cool Season Koi Food?

Switching to a Cool Temperature Koi Food is very important for the health of your Koi!
Well thats enough for today 😊 I just want you all to be ready with the tools and things you need to easily succeed during the changing of the seasons.
Tomorrow is the start of a new Season! Are You ready for some Fall? 🍁 🔥 🏈

The morning after is real… 🤫 I was the only one up in the whole house most of the morning… I don’t know what it is, but i cant “sleep in”. I’m just drawn up and then outside in the morning 🌞 But truth be told, I am pretty worn out too… Last night we hosted our annual Moonlight Pond Tour for the 17th time. And it was such a beautiful night!

We didn’t get through talking with folks, closing up and blowing out all the Tiki Torches and candles till around 12:30 last night, which is pretty late for an old Pond Guy and Gal 😊 But then when we got inside the house, were wide awake… so we had coffee and cake… ☕️🍰 Whew, great day and what a great night! but then… The Morning After 😒 I may need a nap 🥱

Thank You! to everyone who came out to support the cause! And a BIG ’Thank You’ to the homeowners who hosted the tour! ❤️ Its an honor and a privilege to be surrounded by such Awesome and caring people 🙏🏻
Enjoy your day!
“Earth has not anything to show more fair:
Dull would he be of soul who could pass by
A sight so touching in its majesty:
This City now doth, like a garment, wear
The beauty of the morning …”
