I thought this was a timely shot of a nice Waterfall. This pictures was taken right after dark on a nice evening… Our evenings are about to get a bit longer thanks to Daylight Savings! And its Crappie season at the TN River! This beautiful Pondless Waterfall is at my favorite place to fish for Crappie – Birdsong Resort right outside Camden, TN.

Its Waterfall Wednesday! This weekend we set our clocks ⏰ forward to have more daylight in the evening… I’m ready!
Have a Great #Waterfallwednesday! I’ll see you out on the river 🎣

I have been absent from my Blog for a couple of weeks now. I was surprised at the # of people that sent comments to me about my absence… The messages were mostly concern that something was wrong since I write something every day… Thanks for that! But, No, there was nothing wrong! I abstained from posting in order to be totally present during a LONG road trip with my wife Jo. We were on a business, training, buying… ‘adventure’, that took us all across the South! Down thru Mississippi, across the Panhandle of Florida, along the Florida Springs trail, across to the Atlantic side and all the way down historic Coastal Highway A1A to the end of the road “Mile Marker 0” in Key West! Then back up through central Florida into Georgia exploring Nurseries and HUGE Ornamental Plant Growing operations! We even spent the night in Greg Allmans bedroom and visited the graves of some of my (and probably your) musical hero’s… Climbed a mountain, and finally ended up back home in the middle of an Ice 🧊 Storm ⛈!!!

Thank God that we were spared from a repeat of 94 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 But it was a shock to the system to come back to heavy winds from the north and 18 degree temps 🥶

Over the next few days I will share some pictures and stories of our recent travels and some news of things to come 😊
To boil it down – I’m back & I am excited about 2022!
And, I’m so glad to be back home again!!!

This has been a beautiful Fall day… It started with a cold heavy fog 🌫 needing a long sleeved shirt and coat & ended with a light sunburn in short sleeves 👕 A wonderful Autumn Day 🍁

So Beautiful ❤️

It looks like a beautiful week ahead. I hope you can get out and enjoy this little “Indian Summer” we are about to experience this week. Sunny 😎 with highs in the mid and upper 70’s.
“There’s a crispness in the air that greets the morning sun, a feeling of anticipation, a new day has begun.
Harvest days are ending, winter is drawing near, yet in between is surely the most special time of year.
They call it Indian Summer, and it seems to fit the bill, for it’s as if the Lord took a feathered brush and painted all the hills.
Now as I sit contented, atop of one of these, a book in hand to pass the time, the sound of a gentle breeze,
I can almost imagine an Indian child upon this mountaintop, looking down at the land of her forefathers, lost within her thoughts
For in every persons lifetime some heartache may occur, but on these hills in quiet solitude, God helps us to endure.
So I say that the eyes are a window, beauty is found within the soul, and upon the hills of Autumn, that are strewn with red and gold.”

Today has been like the rest of this entire week… Long and Beautiful! 🌞 Fall came in with cool temps and blue skies. We got out on the lake today to enjoy a little time off and to officially welcome in Fall.

Although I hate the Summer being behind us, Fall is always a beautiful, welcome season… Here’s to Fall!🍁🔥🏈
“Where are the songs of Spring? Ay, where are they?
Think not of them, thou hast thy music too, –
While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day
And touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue;
Then in a wailful choir the small gnats mourn
Among the river sallows, borne aloft
Or sinking as the light wind lives or dies;
And full-grown lambs loud bleat from hilly bourn;
Hedge-crickets sing, and now with treble soft
The redbreast whistles from a garden-croft;
And gathering swallows twitter in the skies.”

Yes, the headlines are true… We are closed until Tuesday in observance of Labor Day. Did you know that the Labor Day holiday goes all the way back to the 1800’s?! Pretty cool 😎 I don’t know about you, but my crew has earned a long weekend! Their hard work, along with many others out there, is what makes our country great!

Thanks to my all my people for their hard work and dedication! ❤️
And God Bless the American Worker! 💪🏼 🇺🇸
“Peter J. McGuire, a carpenter and labor union leader, was the person who came up with the idea for Labor Day. He thought American workers should be honored with their own day. He proposed his idea to New York’s Central Labor Union early in 1882, and they thought the holiday was a good idea, too.”

All I can say is ‘what a week’! Whew! But, we got it all done ✅ We said goodbye to 3 great employees who are going back to school ❤️ Their futures look bright! And Then my wife and I hit the river 🌊 I’m still trying to recover this morning… 😊 Here’s a little picture journal of a little slice of KY Lake, aka: The Tennessee River… aka: The Redneck Riviera…

A thick bank of fog hung over the river, like it does many mornings. As the sun came up it slowly started to burn off. The smooth water, the coolness of the air, the smell of the river and the hum of the motor are about as sweet as it gets… All the senses are engaged… Talk about a feeling of Zen!
Enjoy the day!

Beep, Beep, 🚨 Beep, Beep 🚨 🔥ALARM!!! Fire 🔥 ALARM!!! That was my wake up call this morning! Everyone in the house had the same rude awakening! 😓 Every alarm in the house was going off simultaneously 🚨 The dogs were freaking out 🐕 🐩 🐶 WOW! I immediately checked for smoke upstairs & Down, put the dogs out and checked outside – Pouring Rain 🌧 NO Smoke 💨 Then I tried to turn off all the alarms 🚨 No joy!

So I finally figured out that one of my smoke alarms was dripping water 💧 😳 That was the problem.

So we started chasing it down and found it, directly above the smoke alarm 🚨 I mean exactly above it!

Other than this early morning wake up call 😳 The week has been great! I celebrated my 28th Anniversary with my wife and took a few days off. Long story short… I’m a Blessed and Happy Feller’! Here’s a few pics from my week –

“It is a glorious privilege to live, to know, to act, to listen, to behold, to love. To look up at the blue summer sky; to see the sun sink slowly beyond the line of the horizon; to watch the worlds come twinkling into view, first one by one, and the myriads that no man can count, and lo! the universe is white with them; and you and I are here.”

Have a blessed day!
