Just a couple more weekends of football will take us into February, then we will start to notice the signs… swelling buds, emerging tips of spring foliage & the crappie will be biting in earnest! I don’t know about you, but I’m already ready for Spring!

Shoots are thrusting through the cold earth, ‘Tho the wind is in the north;Look! The snowdrop, crocus, scilla Struggle, bravely, to come forth!
Soon each fragile, gentle, blossom Will appear, to cheer each way,Hearts will gladden at their promise,Of clear, fresh, sunlit, springtime days!

Have a great Sunday!
PS: It’s a Beautiful day! 🌞

It’s already starting out to be a very… Interesting 2021. Thank the Lord for Sunday!
We started out with breakfast 🥞 🍳 or should I say Brunch…

Now, it’s on to Football 🏈 Go Titans!

Enjoy your day off! My advice for the future is to turn off the TV 📺 and all other news sources. Your mental health will skyrocket! 😊

Yes, I laid off today… Did some personal things, forgot about my blog, then sat down to watch a little football at the house… With my crew!

With all the B.S. going on in the world, a little football sounds pretty good!
Have an “Uneventful” weekend…
Go TITANS!

Today is the “Official” 1st day of Fall. The Autumnal Equinox’! A very special day! The sun is right above the equator, and day and night are almost exactly equal in time 🕰 From here, the days get shorter and shorter as we slide towards the shortest day of the year… The Winter ❄️ Solstice, aka: The Longest Night 🌙

Today the nighttime and daytime hours are equal. The days will get shorter and the nights longer all the way into the first day of Winter, aka: The Winter Solstice.
I remember when I was a kid, the big thing on the equinox’s was to stand an egg 🥚 on its head 🤔 I don’t know if that’s the only day you can accomplish this feat… But, I have done it on the equinox 🥚😊

Have YOU ever tried to balance an egg on the Spring or Fall equinox? It was a thing when I was a kid. I’m thinking it was around 3rd. Grade or so? I went home and worked for what seemed like hours, but finally got one to balance!
PS: science?
So, it’s time for Pansies, mums, violas, kale 🥬 Pumpkins 🎃 gourds, straw bales and corn stalks 🌾 Fire pits, cookouts and football 🏈
Bring. It. On! Fall is Here! 💥🍁🍂🔥🎃 🏈
Have a great day!

I got up early and came out to get a good view of the last Sunrise 🌞of Summer. Yes, today is the last official day of Summer 😮 Tomorrow is the Autumnal Equinox, the 1st official day of Fall…
I Love Summer! I always mourn its passing… But, it’s been so Hot this year, the cooler weather is a welcome thing. Football, cookouts, fire pits, Fall color, frost on the pumpkin 🎃 Bring It On!
Here’s a link to more info on the 1st day of Fall 👇🏻

Cold, icy mornings are great for sleeping in 😴 We stayed up late watching movies 🎥 with our son last night – Tha’ Birthday boy 😊
We are going to stay in today & watch a little football and spend some good quality time with each other. Time is flying by! It’s here & it’s gone… 17 years it seems, in the blink of an eye…
I’m counting my blessings today. And trying to figure out where all the time has gone 🤔
Have a great Sunday!

I wanted to take a minute and wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! I’m already busy cooking and preparing my part in what will be a HUGE Thanksgiving spread for our family and friends and I am looking forward to seeing everyone and sitting down and catching up a bit. For our part of the meal I’m fixing a bourbon glazed ham, a smoked turkey breast & “twice baked, mashed potatoes! Jo stayed up late baking old fashioned pecan & French coconut pie’s, both my grandmas recipe 😉 Most everyone else is fixing a thing or two also (green beans, casseroles, rolls, cranberry’s, deviled eggs, dressing with giblet gravy, a big relish tray, more cakes and pies, etc…
Following the meal of course is Football, and naps with your belt unbuckled and the top button on yours pants loose, or just gone… I’m going to try to pace myself 😇
Like I said, have a LOT to be thankful for!!! Family, good friends, a warm home, a huge feast & so much more! Blessed!
Happy Thanksgiving to you & yours🦃🏈❤️
