Crazy weather… It was supposed to have rained all day, but it didn’t rain a drop 💧So in essence we got a free day! 😊 So nice and so warm, it turned out to be a wonderful Spring day! Walking around the Landscape, so much is blooming 🌼 Daffodils, Magnolias, Forsythia and the Maples, birch and willow are coming out like gangbusters – don’t forget the Privet 🤧 can you say Pollen…

Did I mention crazy weather? Rain tonight. Freezing temps tomorrow night, followed by more rain and a chance of snow by weeks end… “If you don’t like the weather”…
Have a wonderful evening! 1 week from today we will have a much longer evening 😊
“Come with me into the woods. Where spring is advancing, as it does, no matter what, not being singular or particular, but one of the forever gifts, and certainly visible.”

What a gorgeous morning! We started around 30 degrees with full Sun ☀️ and it has steadily warmed… It will be mid 60’s soon and it sure is nice 😊

We are gonna work in our yard a bit today, burn some leaves and maybe some steaks 🥩 on the grill as well! A little glimpse of Spring is pretty sweet on a Sunday! 🙏🏻

This has been a beautiful Fall day… It started with a cold heavy fog 🌫 needing a long sleeved shirt and coat & ended with a light sunburn in short sleeves 👕 A wonderful Autumn Day 🍁

So Beautiful ❤️

It looks like a beautiful week ahead. I hope you can get out and enjoy this little “Indian Summer” we are about to experience this week. Sunny 😎 with highs in the mid and upper 70’s.
“There’s a crispness in the air that greets the morning sun, a feeling of anticipation, a new day has begun.
Harvest days are ending, winter is drawing near, yet in between is surely the most special time of year.
They call it Indian Summer, and it seems to fit the bill, for it’s as if the Lord took a feathered brush and painted all the hills.
Now as I sit contented, atop of one of these, a book in hand to pass the time, the sound of a gentle breeze,
I can almost imagine an Indian child upon this mountaintop, looking down at the land of her forefathers, lost within her thoughts
For in every persons lifetime some heartache may occur, but on these hills in quiet solitude, God helps us to endure.
So I say that the eyes are a window, beauty is found within the soul, and upon the hills of Autumn, that are strewn with red and gold.”

Well, I actually slept late this morning 😴 Late night movie marathon + Rain on a tin roof made it possible 😊 For the record, I actually woke up at my normal time! (with only a few hours of sleep…) But that rain coming down on the tin roof we were sleeping under, simply lulled me back to sleep 💤 Cut to brunch 🧇 🍳 Now we are going for an extended walk 🥾 So Im gonna post a few pics from the last couple days as my reflections…

Theres more weekend to enjoy, so Im off!
“Waking up to the sound of rain on a tin roof,
Music to my ears.
Darkness still lurks as I open my ears and hear this sound.
Music softly playing,
Describes this day.
The rain pours down softly,
The sky is all grey”

Today has been like the rest of this entire week… Long and Beautiful! 🌞 Fall came in with cool temps and blue skies. We got out on the lake today to enjoy a little time off and to officially welcome in Fall.

Although I hate the Summer being behind us, Fall is always a beautiful, welcome season… Here’s to Fall!🍁🔥🏈
“Where are the songs of Spring? Ay, where are they?
Think not of them, thou hast thy music too, –
While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day
And touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue;
Then in a wailful choir the small gnats mourn
Among the river sallows, borne aloft
Or sinking as the light wind lives or dies;
And full-grown lambs loud bleat from hilly bourn;
Hedge-crickets sing, and now with treble soft
The redbreast whistles from a garden-croft;
And gathering swallows twitter in the skies.”

What a beautiful morning 🌞 Sunday morning is the start of the new week, and quite the week is ahead… This week leads us to Saturday evening and our annual Moonlight Pond Tour 🌝 There is always so much to do! Ive been sipping coffee thinking about it and scribbling down a rough list as things come to me… Last minute kind of stuff, you know how it works, a ”few little details”… This = a week of Hard Work!

Last evenings perfect sunset was followed by a rising, waxing moon 🌙 So beautiful! This months Full Moon is the Harvest Moon 🌝 which means, the Moonlight Pond Tour is coming!

If you have ever made big plans with great intentions of success, you know what it means to have a ”few details” to take care of… “All we lack is finishing up”… ie; Gotta get to work!
Y’all have a great Sunday! See ya’ Saturday evening 😊

All I can say is ‘what a week’! Whew! But, we got it all done ✅ We said goodbye to 3 great employees who are going back to school ❤️ Their futures look bright! And Then my wife and I hit the river 🌊 I’m still trying to recover this morning… 😊 Here’s a little picture journal of a little slice of KY Lake, aka: The Tennessee River… aka: The Redneck Riviera…

A thick bank of fog hung over the river, like it does many mornings. As the sun came up it slowly started to burn off. The smooth water, the coolness of the air, the smell of the river and the hum of the motor are about as sweet as it gets… All the senses are engaged… Talk about a feeling of Zen!
Enjoy the day!
