As the seasons change so do the flowers 💐 So does the feelings and emotions of the changes we are forced to deal with. It’s always tough for me. Especially giving up Summer… But, ya gotta go with the flow and be happy where your at 😊 So I sat down for a few minutes to look at the Summer plants and flowers that I am about to uproot and dispose of. They have really brought me a lot of happiness this Summer. Lots of color and shade and privacy as well. Especially my hanging basket wall. I can see out well, but you can’t see in very well😊 Privacy 💥 I call it the “Hanging Gardens of Babaloo” 😂

This is from where I sit. The foliage is thinner back here on purpose- More room for me, with privacy.
The view from outside is a little different…

From outside looking in is a different story. Lush foliage and color to provide the privacy screen that I desired. Can you see Jo sitting there? I’m gonna hate to see it go 😢 But, it’s Fall 🍁 Time for a different look and feeling…
“But now in September the garden has cooled, and with it my possessiveness. The sun warms my back instead of beating on my head … The harvest has dwindled, and I have grown apart from the intense midsummer relationship that brought it on.”
~ Robert Finch
I will send pictures of the pansies, corn stalks, pumpkins 🎃 & scarecrows as they go up…
Ive been writing ✍️ “Fall is Coming” for quite a while now…
Fall is Here! I gotta get busy…
Have a great Sunday!

Saturday morning is the perfect time to get your garden and landscape ready for Fall! Cutting back plants and composting, planting Fall Color like Pansies, decorating for Fall with Straw Bales and Pumpkins 🎃

Don’t let the change of seasons make you sick! Get ahead of things and get your yard work and decorations done now.
I say it’s best to start early and get it done. Time goes by so fast! Next Thursday is the 1st day of October! The week after that is Christmas 🎄 🤩
Start a compost pile! Garden refuse and kitchen scraps, coffee grounds and more can go in to it and the free compost that you have next Spring is priceless! You can thank me later 😊
🏈 And don’t forget football! I’m still an old school Tennessee fan! ie; An optimist 😊

It’s been a while now since we’ve had a great team in Knoxville, TN! We just keep waiting and waiting and waiting… Happy Fall 🍁
We are open today until 2pm. Come by and see us!

Today is the “Official” 1st day of Fall. The Autumnal Equinox’! A very special day! The sun is right above the equator, and day and night are almost exactly equal in time 🕰 From here, the days get shorter and shorter as we slide towards the shortest day of the year… The Winter ❄️ Solstice, aka: The Longest Night 🌙

Today the nighttime and daytime hours are equal. The days will get shorter and the nights longer all the way into the first day of Winter, aka: The Winter Solstice.
I remember when I was a kid, the big thing on the equinox’s was to stand an egg 🥚 on its head 🤔 I don’t know if that’s the only day you can accomplish this feat… But, I have done it on the equinox 🥚😊

Have YOU ever tried to balance an egg on the Spring or Fall equinox? It was a thing when I was a kid. I’m thinking it was around 3rd. Grade or so? I went home and worked for what seemed like hours, but finally got one to balance!
PS: science?
So, it’s time for Pansies, mums, violas, kale 🥬 Pumpkins 🎃 gourds, straw bales and corn stalks 🌾 Fire pits, cookouts and football 🏈
Bring. It. On! Fall is Here! 💥🍁🍂🔥🎃 🏈
Have a great day!
