The daffodils 🌼 are blooming! The daffodils are blooming!

Everywhere I look I’m seeing Spring! 🌼 I feel a fog lifting off my brain this time of year. I guess it’s the seasonal depression of winter leaving 🥶 But no matter what it is, I Love it! I watched the sun come up this morning and the birds love it as well! 😊 So much activity!
Well, it’s time for breakfast 🥞 Then, I’m out for the day! Enjoy the coming Spring!
“I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.”
~ William Wordsworth

Have you stepped outside this morning? It’s almost hot! Immediately I was buzzed by several mosquitoes 🦟 What a difference a week makes! Tomorrow is March 1st! The 1st. month of Spring! Also the month we run the clocks forward… ‘Spring forward’ is the term I do believe, and that happens 2 weeks from today! 😳

Breakfast calls, then, who knows 😊
“The sun is brilliant in the sky but its warmth does not reach my face.
The breeze stirs the trees but leaves my hair unmoved.
The cooling rain will feed the grass but will not slake my thirst.
It is all inches away but further from me than my dreams.”
~ M. Romeo LaFlamme, The First of March
Enjoy your day!

We don’t get “BIG” snow like this very often… Thank God! So many aren’t prepared for it! Power goes out, heat goes out, no water, etc, etc… I myself even lost one of my main greenhouses from the sheer weight of the snow… But, today I’m gonna try to focus on the Beauty of it all. Much of it from my window 😊 Its COLD out there 🥶

I just thought I would share a few pictures of what I think is a Beautiful, Winter Landscape. The “Entertainment of the day” the last few days has been sitting in front of the French doors and watching the birds eat the seed we’ve been throwing out. Even our dogs are glued to the ‘Theater of Life’ that’s just on the other side of the glass.

Enjoy your snow day! And stay warm 🔥
PS: Spring is Coming!

Let me start out by saying, Happy Valentines Day! ❤️ Normally, I would be planning a nice breakfast and dinner out for my sweetheart ❤️ But, instead we have a Winter Storm Warning ⛔️ and the snows already started. So, I got up early and went to the store for us and my Mom & Dad & Mother in law… Usually Kroger is a ghost town on Sunday Morning, but not today…

The old joke is to always run to the store at the 1st mention of snow to get bread and milk 🥛… Why? Maybe bread 🥖 pudding? Or French toast? A PB&J sandwich 🥪 always needs bread and a glass of milk. And, DON’T forget the TP 🧻 😃
No matter the weather, it’s still Valentines Day! ❤️ And I’m a blessed man to have a Valentine of my own! So dinners still on, it will be great too! Because I will be the chef 👩🍳
Here’s to all the Lovers out there! ❤️ Happy Valentines Day! ❤️

For the first time in years I slept past 8am on Sunday morning. It was good sleep 😴 but… Sleeping in, ain’t what it used to be 😊
Brunch is on!

Today is Super Bowl Sunday! Always a fun day! And a milepost in the seasons for my business! For Carter’s Nursery, Tomorrow is Super Bowl Monday! A day when we start LOTS of seasonal Landscape chores… So I got that goin for me 😊
Question- Who are you pulling for in the big game? For Jo and I, we got Brady’s team – The Buccaneers 🏴☠️ 🏈 The biggest reason, besides the fact that Brady is probably the best ever at his position (Quarterback), is that The night that Jo had our son Jacob, was the very night that Brady made his first mark on the NFL winning a snowy game against The Raiders to move forward into the Super Bowl – His 1st. Super Bowl win! Can you say “Tuck Rule”… 😳. She laid there, in labor, and watched the entire game with me! At times of serious pain, she would ask, what’s going on? What’s the score? How’s Brady doing? A football 🏈 fan was born! And, a beautiful, bouncing baby boy to boot! Boom💥 Yes, that’s 6 B’s in a row! Thank you, thank you very much!
No matter the outcome of today’s game though, we will have fun watching it!
Have a great Sunday! And, Go Bucs!🏈💥

Saturday nights have changed a bit over the last year… A little less exciting… A little less, well, everything. Until tonight! We finally got to make up for a couple of cancelled vacations and more. We got to go to … Paris! 💥

We even got to eat the most famous of all Parisian foods… Yep, catfish!

I hope your Saturday night was as exciting as mine!
Have a great evening 😊

Throwback Thursday pictures have gotten to be one of my favorite things about Thursdays 😊 Looking back at fun times with family and friends, what’s not to smile about. Like this one. Kids just LOVE my Nursery! They feed the Koi, they pet the animals, and find all sorts of cool critters in the gardens.

This was my pick for the first #Throwbackthursday of February 2021. Feel free to share a throwback of your own today!
Have a great one!
