2022 is almost here! To ring it in we will eat the traditional New Years meal with our family on Saturday… At our house to boot! Which means I have last minute prepping to do!

I am cooking the turnip greens and the black eyed peas again this year. Both are equally important! Without a little luck and a bit of money, its tough to make a āHappy New Yearā…

For those that donāt know, each New Years food has a symbolic meaning.

Greens represent⦠Yes! MONEY! Makes sense to me.

Cornbread represents⦠GOLD! ie: More $$$! BAM!

The Hog Jowl, or Pork represents health and affluence.
And finally Black Eyed Peas = LUCK! Pass The Peas Please!!!

Im looking forward to New Years dinner, its always a fun family meal š„ Iām very hopeful for the coming year! But in reality I know that 2022 will only be as good as we make it… Lets work hard ā¤ļø
I hope you ALL have a VERY Happy New Years celebration with friends and family and enjoy those traditions that are most important to you and yours!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

We are almost at the end of 2021! As we count down the last few days, I find myself dreaming and planning for next season š I always get a certain feeling this time of year, itās hard to explain it… itās a combination of things… Excitement, exhaustion, hidden energy, creative thought, melancholy, and more all rolled up into a memorable, annual feeling! But excitement for the new year is always in the forefront!
We start the New Year with a big family dinner! The old school, traditional New Years food…

I also love my planning sessions! I try to do a yearly calendar and business plan… Without a plan and a target, who are you and where are you aiming!?

Ready or not, 2022 is Coming! I hope itās the best ever for ALL of us!
Happy New Year!

Iām having my last cup of coffee for the morning and its fixing to get busy… We are hosting the days festivities and there is a LOT to do š Iāve been listening to and watching the rain fall this morning, thinking about all I have to be thankful for… Itās quite a list! šš» At the top are all my family and friends that truly enrich my life ā¤ļø I have been blessed to be able to live and work with the people that are most important to me in my life. Many of them will be here at our house later today, that is a true blessingšš» When I say the prayer later today I must also remember our soldiers and sailors that couldn’t be home with family today! I am very thankful for them and their sacrifices as well šš»

We live in the greatest nation in the world!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Who loves Halloween? Raise your hand… Did you know that 25% of all candy sold in this country is consumed at Halloween? Thats a LOT of candy! But many donāt celebrate the day… In fact, many are against it all together and consider it to be an exercise in Evil š» What do YOU think?

āAs Per Traditionā, we, the āDistinguished Fewā will meet at the āBig Pondā, at the Nursery to Take our Annual āChilly Willy Plungeā exactly at sunrise, which is 6:41am in the morning! I am, SO! excited! š„ Last years plunge was canceled by the āPandemicā… But this year, IT… IS… ON!!! Tomorrow morning is the 1st day of the END of our āMask Mandate as well! So feel free to come on out topless! You are still welcome to wear a mask of course, and we will make our respective plunges this year in smaller than normal groups as well. So Come on! Always a fun event! But, tomorrow mornings āCWPā will be taken at a crisp, 27 degrees (+\-) Fahrenheit⦠A record low temperature! Can you say shrinkage š„¶

I will open the gates as early as possible so everyone can get a number and get in position. I recommend that you come dressed in your chosen āPlunge attireā, wearing a robe or heavy coat & water shoes or flip flops. Some have even worn Cover Allās that they unzip and step right out of. Remember, itās gonna be COLD š„¶
REMEMBER āĀ please RSVP so I will know how much coco and mimosas to have ready šš»
- Bring your own towels! 2 or 3 of them!
ā Hot coco will be available.
PS: Thereās a rumor that a ācertain someoneā, will be serving Mimosas for an epic Sunrise š

Get here early! Sunrise is 6:41am! You will need time to park and walk to the ponds edge. As you know, only about 15 people at a time have room to get in the pond comfortably. This year we will go in 3 at a time to allow the proper 6ā distancing for safety. Our 1st group in will be āfirst come, first servedā! So I would get here early if you want to be in the official photo, that will be on the cover of Our annual book.

This year, because of health concerns we are requiring everyone to pre-register for the Chilly Willy Plunge. We have set up a Hot-Line for your convenience. Simply dial 1-800-chilly Willy, follow the prompts & get your plunge attire ready! š„
