Well, the first week of Spring has been exciting as advertised! Plants, Ponds, Stones and Boulders have been flying! Today – Grass to trim, bird feeders to fill! Including the Hummingbird Feeders that we have recently put back up for our returning babies ❤️ But not until we eat Breakfast!

Jacob also insists on getting a haircut today, so Jo made quick work of that!

Anyway… It turns out that our son was under that pile of hair too 😮 WOW!

The Barber came to cut my hair,
I told him that it wasn’t fair.
My hair had done him no harm,
Without it I would loose my charm.
The Barber he grinned a silly grin,
Said to cut my hair would be no sin.
That I should face it like a man,
But I’m a coward and away I ran.
Do you like sitting in a Barbers chair,
With him chopping away your lovely hair.
Once my head was full of curls,
Covering my face with twisty twirls.
But then the Barber came my way,
I was a child, I had no say.
Off came my curls one by one,
The Barber seemed to have great fun.
Now I’m old and very grey,
I’m nearly bald, my hairs gone away.
But when I see a Barbers chair,
I feel the loss of my curly hair.
You know I truly rue the day,
When that first Barber came my way.
– Bernard Shaw
Have a great Sunday Evening!

I have been absent from my Blog for a couple of weeks now. I was surprised at the # of people that sent comments to me about my absence… The messages were mostly concern that something was wrong since I write something every day… Thanks for that! But, No, there was nothing wrong! I abstained from posting in order to be totally present during a LONG road trip with my wife Jo. We were on a business, training, buying… ‘adventure’, that took us all across the South! Down thru Mississippi, across the Panhandle of Florida, along the Florida Springs trail, across to the Atlantic side and all the way down historic Coastal Highway A1A to the end of the road “Mile Marker 0” in Key West! Then back up through central Florida into Georgia exploring Nurseries and HUGE Ornamental Plant Growing operations! We even spent the night in Greg Allmans bedroom and visited the graves of some of my (and probably your) musical hero’s… Climbed a mountain, and finally ended up back home in the middle of an Ice 🧊 Storm ⛈!!!

Thank God that we were spared from a repeat of 94 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 But it was a shock to the system to come back to heavy winds from the north and 18 degree temps 🥶

Over the next few days I will share some pictures and stories of our recent travels and some news of things to come 😊
To boil it down – I’m back & I am excited about 2022!
And, I’m so glad to be back home again!!!

I don’t know about you, but I could use a little Zen today. I sat by this Pond over the weekend to think about what’s been going on over the last few days. This was my Grandma’s Pond and Waterfall and it really speaks to me when I need a little piece of mind. I hope in this little snippet you will see and hear what I’m talking about.
Within a matter of minutes the sound of the Waterfall and the swimming Koi just melt the tension away. I can feel my heart rate slow and my mind relax. A Waterfall is a Magical thing…
Have a great week!

Yes, I laid off today… Did some personal things, forgot about my blog, then sat down to watch a little football at the house… With my crew!

With all the B.S. going on in the world, a little football sounds pretty good!
Have an “Uneventful” weekend…
Go TITANS!

Have you been outside today? Wow! It’s like a warm Spring morning out there! So beautiful. I went out and scavenged through what’s left of the tomato plants and found a few more good ones! 🍅💥 I love it ❤️ I brought them in and added them to the large group on the counter. Jo has put out some beautiful Thanksgiving decorations and was taking pictures and trying out some new editing apps. When I looked at them, I really got the feeling of Home. Seeing her simple picture made me feel good. My morning has been made 😊 Now, back to Sunday Brunch…

”The first supermarket supposedly appeared on the American landscape in 1946. That is not very long ago. Until then, where was all the food? Dear folks, local fields, and forests. It was near kitchens, near tables, near bedsides. It was in the pantry, the cellar, the backyard.

Have a great day! Get Outside!

Well, if you haven’t already seen it, a LOT of us have been posting pictures we snapped of places we have traveled over the years. The idea is to share some beauty during this quarantine and “virtually travel”… It starts with a header like this one below followed by a photo 👇🏻
“Join the challenge of posting a picture of some landscape from a place where you’ve been, where the main requirement is that you NOT appear in it. Just a picture, no description. The goal is to flood profiles with landscape photos to give a twist on the situation we’re going through.
Copy the text to your status, post a photo and let’s travel virtually!!”
I hope you and your family enjoy a Blessed Easter Weekend!

It seems we are staying home more and more now days… Forget dinner out! Forget flying to Disney! Forget that Vacation you’ve been planning since last year! So what do we do for fun? Break out the board games! Fire up the grill & get outside in your own Landscape! Can you say Staycation?!
This video was my very 1st. Video on YouTube! It’s still so relevant! Do you recognize that guy telling you how his backyard Pond changed his life? YES! That’s Bill Way! I miss his unique take on world events like we are seeing now! But believe me, he knew how to enjoy his leisure time at home 🏡 He loved to #Staycation!
My Point? Use this down time to be with family at home & try to make it fun. Try to get in the Staycation mindset 😎 I’ve been feeding my Koi, grilling, Netflixing, “Deep Organizing” and listening to a LOT of Jimmy Buffet 🎶 🌺 Don’t think of it as having to… Think of it as getting to 😊❤️
Have a safe and happy Thursday!
