Another New Year = A clean slate. A blank canvas. An open road of possibilities! I for one am excited for the opportunities that 2023 brings…

The future is what we make of it… You hear that a lot… & in my experience, it rings true! Lets make 2023 the best year yet!

I always try to write my Sunday Blog first thing Sunday morning and publish it immediately. But, there’s always the exception… I just found service to send this little teaser today. We (Jo and I) are out exploring the backroads today. It started in a rainstorm and has continued into a beautiful, humid sunny day 🌞 So, I will post some good pictures later when I have the time to review for a minute. Enjoy this beautiful Summer Sunday!

“Roads go ever ever on,
Over rock and under tree,
By caves where never sun has shone,
By streams that never find the sea;
Over snow by winter sown,
And through the merry flowers of June,
Over grass and over stone,
And under mountains in the moon.”
~ J.R.R. Tolkien

Happy Anniversary! ❤️🍾💥 I am a blessed man! I’m fortunate enough to have a job that I love, a great family & Im married to a virtuous woman 👩🏻 Again – blessed! 27 years of marriage today… In the blink of an eye! It doesn’t seem possible that this much time has passed… It literally seems like yesterday that we walked up that isle…
We have taken a few days off to celebrate and wind down. Nothing fancy, just some time together.

Jo’s grandfather walked her down the isle that day. I found this picture of him and it did my heart good. He was a very special person in Jo’s life. And our life together. ❤️
Thanks for all the calls and texts wishing us a happy day! And here’s to another 27 years together!
Cheers 🥂

I just had to amend my Blog today… it was on deck to publish… and I forgot to pull the trigger 😳
I, WE are taking a few day’s off to celebrate and to try and slow it down a little… Jo and I always try to plan some time around our Anniversary & we both look forward to time together. The years are literally flying by… But, I’ve apparently been having fun, because I haven’t really noticed 😊
So, we are gonna take a break for a few days and try to relax. I will share some pics from the road over the next few days.
Thanks 🙏🏻 Have a great weekend!

It’s been a great holiday! Family & Friends came to visit, catch up a bit & eat!
The meal was followed by Football 🏈 and an epic nap! That’s a hat trick for an old man😊
Now, it’s a road trip for Black Friday! Wish us luck …
Y’all have a wonderful weekend!

Everyone loves a good ‘Road Song’. A perfect song to get behind the wheel and set off to… I have always loved this old John Kilzer song! Since Johns untimely death, it’s now available on iTunes with that entire album! In my opinion, one of the best rock albums EVER!

This has always been one of my favorites off this album. John was an Awesome musician! May he Rest In Peace!
Here’s the song –
I’m gonna get out on the Highway today myself! Y’all have a great weekend!
PS: Take a few minutes and put together a “Road Song Playlist” – Then get out and take a ride around your beautiful area of the world and enjoy!😎

We had a great day off for our 26th. Wedding Anniversary! The weather was perfect 👌🏻 so we just made a day of riding around, eating out & Junking! Bought a few really nice old things (Junk to most 😊)… And finished the day off at our favorite marina with the perfect sunset 🌅. All in all, a perfect day! ❤️
Here’s to 26 More! 🍾💥 ❤️

We spent another day riding the backroads & some main streets too 😊 I really enjoy doing things like this. Meeting local people, seeing the natural beauty of our own state, it’s very refreshing. Jo has been the pilot and I am the navigator with a map & an iPhone… Nothing and nowhere is safe 😂
Here are a few more pics from the road –

Ive got a pretty cool wife. When I asked her what she wanted to do for our 25th. Wedding Anniversary, she didn’t say what I expected. I figured a cruise or island trip or the like. No sir. She said why don’t we just mess around and take a slow trip around some cool spots in the state. Drive the back roads and see where they take us… WOW! That just hit the spot & sounded perfect! So that’s what we have been doing the last few days. I’m going to put a few pictures on here today and a few more tomorrow and so on and just see where else this road leads 😊
The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
~ Robert Frost
