Iām more of a Dad than a Father… At least Iād like to think so. āDadā is a little less formal… I know a few Popsā and a couple āOld Mansā and quite a few Daddyās too š I know Iāve got a great dad! When I think of my Dad many words come to mind… Dad, Pop, Role Model, Teacher, Leader, Provider… more!

So Sunday is the Big Day! What do you have planned for Your Dad? Better get crackingā!

Today is Earth Day! What is Earth Day you ask… Here’s the official definition – “Earth Day is an annual event celebrated around the world on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, it now includes events coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network in more than 193 countries.”Ā
Like most public things right now, Earth Day celebrations have been cancelled for public gatherings… BUT, you can personally celebrate by doing something “Earth Friendly” like –Ā
- Plant a tree (Native please)
- Plant some flowers (Pollinators)
- Start seperating & recycling trash
- Start a compost pile for organic compost
- Talk to your kids about responsible conservationĀ Ā

The first Earth Day was held on April 22, 1970, with the goal of raising awareness about mankindās role in protecting our natural world.
We are going to plant a tree on our property today with our son inĀ honor of Earth Day! I hope you can get out and enjoy our beautiful world today as well!Ā

My son recently turned 18. LOTS of memories and emotions have been bubbling up š one thing that I keep finding is pictures of him in and around the ponds & waterfalls. He simply LOVES them! So this one is my offering for Throwback Thursday.

Jacob has loved Koi and ponds since birth I think š This was taken at the dedication to this teaching pond at a local school 16 or so years ago. This picture ended up on the āPonds for Kidsā booklet that promotes Ponds in schools. #Throwbackthursday
He was 2 in this picture šĀ This āTeaching Pondā is still being used to inspire and teach youngsters about science, ecology & even art. A BIG shoutout to the great educators that were and still are responsible for this school pond happening! Steve, Elizabeth & Christine – Yāall Rock! Keep up the good work!
Have a great #throwbackthursday!

A Heavy blow was struck against us all that day.
⢠2,977 Americans were Murdered!
⢠343 Firefighters died saving others! Many that survived are dying from cancer now at an alarming rate! Thank a Firefighter today…
We survived! We united! We rebuilt!
Its been 18 years now. My wife was pregnant with our son when it happened. He is 17 now and a senior in high school. Many in his class donāt know much of anything about what happened on 9/11! Watch the memorials with them today. Tell them what happened that day & how it made you feel! We owe it to our fallen brothers and sisters to Never Forget! #neverforget !

I still remember this like it was yesterday! My wife was pregnant at work when the towers were struck. Everyone was scared to death of what was next. So many died that day š¢ We can #neverforget
Iām going to hug my wife and my son a little harder today! We are going to talk and discuss what happened and why.
God Bless You All! & God Bless America! šŗšø
