June 21st is the official 1st. Day! So get your questions ready! We will be talking Outdoor Living, Koi Ponds, Gardening, trimming, mulching, landscaping, Hummingbird watching, The coming ‘Summer Pond Tour’ to benefit the Jackson Animal Care Center AND Just about anything else that YOU want to talk about! This years Summer Pond Tour will showcase many unique, custom water gardens, koi ponds, pondless waterfalls, disappearing fountains and of course LOTS of gorgeous landscaping! This Self Guided Tour is located in Jackson, TN. (Madison County) and is easy to follow. The Summer Pond Tour is a fundraiser for the Jackson Animal Care Center, 100% of ticket sales go to help them, so tell all your friends!

2022 is almost here! To ring it in we will eat the traditional New Years meal with our family on Saturday… At our house to boot! Which means I have last minute prepping to do!
I am cooking the turnip greens and the black eyed peas again this year. Both are equally important! Without a little luck and a bit of money, its tough to make a “Happy New Year”…
For those that don’t know, each New Years food has a symbolic meaning.
Greens represent… Yes! MONEY! Makes sense to me.
Cornbread represents… GOLD! ie: More $$$! BAM!
The Hog Jowl, or Pork represents health and affluence.
And finally Black Eyed Peas = LUCK! Pass The Peas Please!!!
Im looking forward to New Years dinner, its always a fun family meal 🥘 I’m very hopeful for the coming year! But in reality I know that 2022 will only be as good as we make it… Lets work hard ❤️

Most people are at home right now. Some by choice, but many more by order or strong suggestion… So, there’s a LOT of really clean houses 🙂 and LOTS of shrubs have been trimmed and lawns raked and made ready for the season. And everyone has started fixing their own meals… Cooking is back in style!
I LOVE to cook! I do most of the cooking for our family, so its nothing new to me… Whats new is the availability of things to cook… Have you been to the grocery store lately?! It’s an adventure! People bundled up, gloves and masks, not making eye contact… And almost nothing you wanted! Forget the list! Its get what you can when you find it.
What can I whip up for dinner with this? Hmmm!
OR maybe…
Tarantula Pâté anyone?
But seriously, you have to pretty much eat what’s in your fridge or cabinet. Being inventive can help put a meal together!
I came up with maybe my favorite omelet combo ever this morning! I used what I had in the fridge and it was honestly good!
I took pictures, like I do often 😊 Turns out this combo is AWESOME! Nashville Hot Chicken and Jalapeno Pimento Cheese! Boom 💥
The next week or two will give us all some time to have some “Adventures In Cooking”!
