Well I got up this morning to a still cold, mostly white, snow covered world. But today the wind is out of the south and the temperature is getting up above 50 today, so I expect to see some grass and bare areas before the day is out. It’s been over a week of being mainly trapped in the house, below zero wind chills, frozen pipes, BAD roads, Storm damage, etc… I feel ready for Spring…

In another way, its been so beautiful… We have gotten to spend some quality time together and I will miss that part of being trapped inside together 😊 I haven’t watched the news or read the paper or even payed attention to the outside world…
But, the snow is melting… This week is warming up, we will be in the 60’s by midweek! Which will bring a whole different experience that we may not be ready for either…

“There’s a patch of old snow in a corner
That I should have guessed
Was a blow-away paper the rain
Had brought to rest.
It is speckled with grime as if
Small print overspread it,
The news of a day I’ve forgotten —
If I ever read it.”
~ Robert Frost
Have a Blessed Sunday! 🙏🏻

The snow has been beautiful to look at, BUT it also causes all kinds of problems… Bad roads are a given, but Big snow like we just received is extremely heavy! So heavy in fact that it can bring down roofs and even metal structures!

So now the cleanup begins! There are still 10 Koi tanks in there 😳 FULL of fish! I hope we can save them!

Have a Great weekend!

We don’t get “BIG” snow like this very often… Thank God! So many aren’t prepared for it! Power goes out, heat goes out, no water, etc, etc… I myself even lost one of my main greenhouses from the sheer weight of the snow… But, today I’m gonna try to focus on the Beauty of it all. Much of it from my window 😊 Its COLD out there 🥶

I just thought I would share a few pictures of what I think is a Beautiful, Winter Landscape. The “Entertainment of the day” the last few days has been sitting in front of the French doors and watching the birds eat the seed we’ve been throwing out. Even our dogs are glued to the ‘Theater of Life’ that’s just on the other side of the glass.

Enjoy your snow day! And stay warm 🔥
PS: Spring is Coming!
