Last night we had one heck of a storm! Heavy rains flooded back roads & strong winds blew! Every Fall we get a storm like this, timed perfectly to blow all the leaves from the trees. Bill Way called it a “Leaf Stripper”. A friend mentioned this morning that we had one of his leaf strippers’ last night! Then I realized, today is the 1 year anniversary of Bills passing…

1 year ago today our friend Bill Way passed away from Pancreatic Cancer. May he Rest In Peace. Gone but not forgotten!
I’d like to think last nights ‘Leaf Stripper’ was old Bill blowing through. I still think of him often & miss his voice on the radio every day. Rest In Peace brother Bill! You are gone from this place, but you are not forgotten!
Prayers for Susan & his girls & all his family!

Everyone loves a good ‘Road Song’. A perfect song to get behind the wheel and set off to… I have always loved this old John Kilzer song! Since Johns untimely death, it’s now available on iTunes with that entire album! In my opinion, one of the best rock albums EVER!

This has always been one of my favorites off this album. John was an Awesome musician! May he Rest In Peace!
Here’s the song –
I’m gonna get out on the Highway today myself! Y’all have a great weekend!
PS: Take a few minutes and put together a “Road Song Playlist” – Then get out and take a ride around your beautiful area of the world and enjoy!😎

20 years ago today was the last time I saw Andy Johns alive. He had stopped by my place to visit that day. We went to lunch, then we rode around & did a little catching up. We hadn’t seen each other for a while, but it was like no time had past. After a few hours he headed out to run a couple more errands before heading home to his wife and little girl.
On the road home another driver swerved into Andy’s lane and hit him head on, killing him instantly… My phone rang around 3am., I woke & sat straight up in the bed & I somehow knew what the call was about… it was Andy’s brother Shane and he told me the tragic news.
A few days later I was in Arkansas dressed in a suit, serving as a Pallbearer for Andy. It was a sad, surreal day.
20 years have past, but Andy lives on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends! Rest In Peace Andy! Your gone from this world, but not forgotten!

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there.
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there.
I did not die.

This is a message from Bills daughter posted to Facebook this morning –
“At 6:52 am on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, daddy peacefully left us here on earth to be reunited with his mom and dad in Heaven. I know Cody, their beloved border collie, will be jumping with joy to see him again.
We will miss you more than you know, but the love you showed us throughout our lives here on earth will be forever in our hearts. We’ve made memories that will last a lifetime. We know just how proud you were of your kids and grandkids. We will continue to make you proud in the years to come.
We share a love of weather and always have. I will look for you in rainbows and, of course, thunderstorms since that’s what we love most. ❤️
I love you, daddy! I can’t wait to see you again.”
– God Bless this family! Pray for their comfort and peace during this emotional time.
Love you Bill ❤️
