Tuesday Puppy Report 🐶

I introduced you all to Bell a couple of weeks ago and I wanted you to see how she grown 😊

Isn’t she the smartest looking little girl! She’s growing like a weed.

You don’t really notice the growth when you see them everyday… But she is progressing in every way. Smart as a whip!

I will send you another update later on.

PS: She’s sneaky 👇🏻

She loves to sneak away, then hide and watch you try to find her. She’s a handful 😊

Have a good night 😴

Sunday Reflections…

Last night was interesting to say the least.. We have a new puppy in the house 🐶 You forget just how involved it is. They have such incredible energy! Having to take them out to walk, clean up after their accidents, watch where you step and what you leave down… Etc. Then, at bedtime, the whining and barking is non stop for a while. Then there’s the late night walks, more water, more play, more whining… Wow! Energy without bounds.

Bell just loves her rabbit 🐇 and her bone 🦴 and her ball 🏀 and her new home I think 🏡 😊

Then, just when you think it might have been a mistake, that it’s gonna be so much work and effort… she crawls up on you and goes to sleep in your lap… Thats when you realize that Love is a four legged word 🐶❤️ You’ve got a new family member, a new baby… and the whining stops when you let her sleep beside you in the bed 🛌

“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.”

Have a great Sunday 🙏🏻

Throwback Thursday

I made a “random” Facebook post today with a picture of our dog Ranger as a puppy. He was a big hit! He’s such a handsome dog and he was the cutest puppy ever 🐶 Honestly, I didn’t even think about the fact that it’s #throwbackthursday!

Isn’t he the cutest little puppy ever? 😊 Well, now he’s a 90 pound lap dog 🐕

So I thought I would just flip the same theme over to my blog today. What a great Throwback memory! He is now 4 years old 😊

Here’s a little collage over time from puppy to recent…

PS: I literally forgot to publish this earlier today 🙄 Hope you had a great Throwback Thursday!

Does Anyone Love You More Than Your Dog?

All my memories as far back as I can recall, involve a dog. “Mans best friend” didn’t get to be their calling card for no reason! I really believe that Dogs make us better people…

Just look at that face. This is Tracker. She was a great girl.

Yesterday we all got out to do a few things in the snow and ice. Long story short, I twisted my ankle a bit… And Scout is stove up a bit today as well. But, when she saw me in pain, she crawled over to me this morning to let me know that she loved me. Your dog wants to take care of you more than their self… What an admirable trait.

Believe it or not, my dog loves watching the sunset. Maybe it’s because we are watching and paying the setting sun ☀️ attention, but he loves it too ❤️
Let’s play in the snow! ❄️
One of my favorite pictures! My Dad, my 1st dog Heidi & Me wearing my his hat and coat 😊
Always ready to have some fun.

Im gonna try to be more like my dogs from now on. I think if we all did, the world would be a better place😊

Have a great Weekend!

Sunday Reflections…

Taking the time to smell the roses 🌹 and to watch the sunrises and sunsets is so important! It’s Labor Day weekend… The Summer seasons last big hurrah! Time to enter Fall… Does it seem like we should be here already? Wow! Summer has passed by like a sunset…

Believe it or not, my dog loves watching the sunset with us. Maybe it’s because we are watching and paying attention to the setting sun ☀️ but he sure seems to love  it too ❤️

Have a great Sunday!!

Throwback Thursday | Carters Nursery, Pond & Patio | Jackson, Tennessee

Sometimes my blog writes itself 😊 Here’s a great #throwbackthursday picture for ya’!

This picture was taken right after we finished the initial installation around 10 years ago.

We built this Pondless Waterfall about 10 years ago. We went back to clean up and service it recently and installed a brand new Foot Bridge!

The new bridge is built from treated lumber and has several coats of paint. It should be around for the long haul! | Carters Nursery, Pond & Patio

The original bridge was cedar and lasted a good while. This new bridge is built from treated lumber and should last much longer than 10 years 🤞🏻

Dog days are pleasant when you have a place to cool off 😊
PS: Dogs LOVE Waterfalls!

Throwback Thursday is a special day indeed 😊

Y’all have a wonderful day!

Throwback Thursday

#Throwbackthursday is always a cool day! Focusing on something or someone from the past. I have been in my boxes of old photos yet again 😊 And found a few more pics of my Papaw. He was a really cool guy! He loved and excelled at hunting and fishing. He loved treasure hunting with his old metal detector! And he Loved his dog – Bandit!

Bandit was my Papaws favorite English Bulldog! He was from a pedigreed line of Champions & took Best of Show every time!

My aunt Mickie was from Orange County California. She brought a champion female from Cali home to my Papaw & Mimi to breed. Bandit was from one of those litters of pups. In fact, he was the runt of a litter & Papaw just fell in love with him. Most of Bandits brothers and sisters were purchased by Marine Corp officers and the like and moved far away… One of Bandits brothers went to my other Grandfather, his name was John Boy (a story for another day😊).

Heres to great memories! And great Papaws & Great Dogs! #Throwbackthursdsy

Have a Great day!

If you know me or my family, you know we LOVE animals. We have always kept pets and fostered animals in need . Through our business we have raised money for our local Humane society for 20+ years too. All this love has really shaped my son Jacob. He is always ready to help an animal in need and does it on his own. Yesterday he and his mom saw this beautiful puppy running through traffic at rush hour. She was scared to death and confused, literally trying to get people to stop their cars to help her. Well, Jo & Jacob did just that!

Jo & my son Jacob saved this beautiful puppy from being ran over in the street. With the help of the Jackson Animal Care Center, an anonymous angel, Facebook & a local Vet we were able to find her owner & get her safely back home to her family.

With the help of some great local resources (Jackson Animal Care Center, a Local Vet & Facebook) we were able to find her family and reunite them in just over 1 day! WOW! We found out that Paloma is her name, she is just over a year old and is a big old sweetheart 🙂 Sometimes things work out right! Thank Goodness!

Like I said, “What a Lucky Dog”!

Have a GREAT Weekend!
