Were you early to church this morning? Or, were you more like me and actually set your clocks ahead like we were supposed to, only to have to drag your butt out of bed 🛏 Springing forward ain’t easy!

As I watch the snow melt this morning, Spring is in the air! And in a week, it will be official 😊 I am so ready for longer evenings, flowers, boating season and homegrown tomato’s 🍅.
“In spring when maple buds are red,
We turn the clock an hour ahead;
Which means, each April that arrives,
We lose an hour out of our lives.
Who cares? When autumn birds in flocks
Fly southward, back we turn the clocks,
And so regain a lovely thing
That missing hour we lost in spring.”

The older I get, the tougher it gets to “Spring Forward”! I’m just plain torn when it comes to daylight savings time! I mean, I do love the longer daylight hours! But, it really only changes things as far as schedule goes… It doesn’t add any time to the day at all… It just adjusts the clock and the daily hours of business. Then it takes us several days to adjust to getting up an hour early… Is it worth the effort?

my morning coffee came an hour earlier this morning! But, good news is we will have Daylight till after 7pm now! Boom 💥
The silver lining is of course the longer daylight hours. It won’t be dark now till after 7pm! I do love evenings outside in the garden!
But now it’s time for breakfast! 🍳 🥞
Maybe we will celebrate with a late bbq 🍗 this evening 😊

Have a great Sunday!
