This has been a beautiful Fall day… It started with a cold heavy fog š« needing a long sleeved shirt and coat & ended with a light sunburn in short sleeves š A wonderful Autumn Day š

So Beautiful ā¤ļø

It looks like a beautiful week ahead. I hope you can get out and enjoy this little āIndian Summerā we are about to experience this week. Sunny š with highs in the mid and upper 70ās.
āThere’s a crispness in the air that greets the morning sun, a feeling of anticipation, a new day has begun.
Harvest days are ending, winter is drawing near, yet in between is surely the most special time of year.
They call it Indian Summer, and it seems to fit the bill, for it’s as if the Lord took a feathered brush and painted all the hills.
Now as I sit contented, atop of one of these, a book in hand to pass the time, the sound of a gentle breeze,
I can almost imagine an Indian child upon this mountaintop, looking down at the land of her forefathers, lost within her thoughts
For in every persons lifetime some heartache may occur, but on these hills in quiet solitude, God helps us to endure.
So I say that the eyes are a window, beauty is found within the soul, and upon the hills of Autumn, that are strewn with red and gold.ā

What a beautiful day! 86 degrees and sunny š It has apparently lit a fire under me because I just cant sit down… We have been decorating and cooking, Fall cleaning and slowly getting rid of Summer plants that just have to make way for Fall š
Plus, its been a great weekend of Football š The TN Vols won and Alabama lost! š„

Homemade fresh vegetable soup and cornbread is for dinner š² Man I love a nice Fall day!
āA day like a day in summer.
Exceptionally still. The long shadows of the maples
nearly mauve on the gravel paths.
And in the evening, warmth. Night like a night in summer.ā
~ Louise Gluck
Have a great evening!

We are planting a beautiful Landscape today! Itās such a beautiful Fall day! WARM! 85 or soš Sweaty āIndian Summerā weather! Iāll take it š

Along the line of smoky hillsĀ
The crimson forest stands,Ā
And all the day the blue-jay callsĀ
Throughout the autumn lands.Ā
Now by the brook the maple leansĀ
With all his glory spread,Ā
And all the sumachs on the hillsĀ
Have turned their green to red.Ā
Now by great marshes wrapt in mist,Ā
Or past some river’s mouth,Ā
Throughout the long, still autumn dayĀ
Wild birds are flying south.
~ William Wilfred Campbell
Have a great day!

Rainy night followed by a misty morning. Iām starting to accept that Summer is on the way out… In just a little over a week is the autumnal equinox, and Fall will be officially here…Ā
“The leaves of brown came tumblin’ down, remember
In September in the rain
The sun went out just like a dying ember
That September in the rain.
To every word of love I heard you whisper
The raindrops seemed to play a sweet refrain.”
–Ā September in the Rain
Have a great Sunday Morning š

Yesterday was a beautiful day! The temps hit 70 degrees and I was just waiting to see a mosquito š Such a contrast to just a few days ago with that early snow āļøĀ covering the ground!

Pre-Thanksgiving snow is a rare thing around here. But a few days later here it is sunny āļø & 70 deg!
Maybe we are having our āIndian Summerā…Ā That warming in Fall after frost and freeze have already occurred… In any case, Iāll take it!

Thanksgiving is in a few days and it feels like shorts & sandles outside! 70 deg. = Indian Summer š
Now, itās on to Thanksgiving & the holiday season… Ready or not, itās that time š Time to count our blessings!
āGive me the end of the year anā itās fun, Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā When most of the planninā anā toilinā Is done;Ā Bring all the wanderers home to the nest, Ā Ā Let me sit down with the ones I love best,Ā Hear the old voices still ringinā with song, Ā Ā See the old faces unblemished by wrong, Ā Ā See the old table with all of its chairs Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Anā Iāll put soul in my Thanksgivinā Prayers.ā
Have a GREAT Sunday!
And a Happy Thanksgiving! š¦šš½
