Some people call it Hump Day… I call it #waterfallwednesday (In the voice of Carl)😂

Yes, we again find ourselves at the midpoint of another week, and as they say “It’s all downhill from here”… Maybe that’s why Wednesdays and Waterfalls work so well together? They both flow downward to an end 😊

You have probably seen this kitty cat 🐈 before and this Waterfall as well, but, not as much as I have 😊 And I still just love both of em’❤️
So enjoy your Wednesday! It’s all downhill from here… #waterfallwednesday

When you live at a Nursery, there are still many things to do on a Sunday morning. Check the Greenhouses, water plants, etc… This morning there was a little storm cleanup, and we had to check all the Fountains and Ponds for debris in the skimmers and the like (Bad wind and storms last night). But I love it 😊 Walking into a warm greenhouse, the smell of the plants and the beauty of all the plants, Heaven! I’m still sitting in the greenhouse as I type this ❤️ The north wind is blowing outside today… But in here, it’s a Sunny, Warm Spring day!
You might not have a greenhouse, but I hope you get out and enjoy this beautiful day!
“I like to think of people as a greenhouse
We are only a short moment in history
We can be radiant and beautiful
We can diffuse bliss and contentment
We can show the world that there is more to it
Some of us are short-lived gardens
We forget to water ourselves
Forget that we need sunshine to live
We forget that most on our rainy days
When clouds swarm our four walls
And the light of day does not touch us like it used to
Our flowers droop, fall, and die
We are only plants that require attention
Living objects that some pick up and some only marvel at
We are unique and earmarked
We are not the same
But each of us are fascinating in our own way
Do not forget to take care of yourself
You have so much more to yourself
Than the desolation you feel”

We had such a relaxing, pleasant Christmas Day! We watched movies with our parents, opened a few presents, ate Lunch with mom & dad & then, took a YUGE nap 😴

I think the pets had more fun than anyone! They all received a present 🎁 of their own and literally tore them up by supper 🎅🏻😂

Even the kitty came by for Christmas 🎄 She’s really an outdoor cat 🐈 and only comes in when she wants too. Usually, she only asks to come in on special occasions when there’s more than usual activity, or if it’s really cold. Even then, she hides around the edges or up high somewhere 😊

I am so thankful for the blessing of Christmas!

Now, Christmas is behind us and it’s on to the New Year! In less than a week, it’s gonna be 2021! 😳 They say ‘Hindsight is 2020’ …. I think we are all ready to put 2020 in the rear view mirror 🪞
I hope you enjoy the rest of your Christmas weekend! 🙏🏻❤️🎄

Time flies when your having Fun! And this year has been a good one! We have enjoyed a beautiful, lush Spring season! Perfect in so many ways 😊 Now, we move into Summer & for the last 21 years that has meant 1 thing… Pond Tour Time! 💥

Our annual Summer Pond Tour is always the Saturday after Fathers Day! Saturday, June 22nd is the day! Get your tickets Today!
Friday is the 1st official day of Summer, the Summer Solstice! The Summer Pond Tour is our 1st Event of Summer and we just love it! Check out our video for more details –
We have an after party for all the attendees & home owners at the Nursery. It’s called the ‘Moonlight Luau” & if you purchased a ticket YOU are invited!

We open the gates back up at 8pm and the Moonlight Luau is on! Wear your best “Luau Attire” The Best will receive prizes 😊| Carters Nursery, Pond & Patio | Jackson, TN
The Biggest question I have been getting by far is, what’s up with the Luau… Whats it like? What should I wear? Etc… SO, I put together a little primer of sorts… A set of tips to help with communications and etiquette… So, here is a little list for ya’!
#1 – Smile and have a good time 😊 Your in a Garden with music, good food and Wonderful People! And you all just raised money that will help many, many Pets! THANK YOU ALL! Much Respect!
#2 – Dress comfortably & with a “Luau Flair” if possible 😊(see rule #1 – have fun).
#3 – For FUN, let’s try to use the words “Aloha” and “Mahalo”. These are both really special Hawaiian 🌺words and they will both apply tonight.
“Aloha” means many things, but it mostly means Hello and Goodbye 😊
“Mahalo” means Thank You! 🌺
#4 – It’s Good Luck to take your shoes off in the sand, so feel free to venture out on to “Carter Country Beach” 😊
#5 – Appreciate and Enjoy A Lei – At a real Hawaiian 🌺Luau, if someone gives you a Lei, it is a sign of peace and friendship. Its a tradition that goes back to the Polynesian Kings, and Hawaiian etiquette dictates that you accept it and wear it as long as you are in the presence of the one who gives it to you. At our Luau – EVERYONE GETS LEID!” 😂
Welcome Summer! See ya’ at the Pond Tour😊

We seem to find our share of animals in need 😇 And sometimes in the darndest places!
When I first saw him hiding in my boat I actually thought it was a baby opossum 😮But instead it was a cute baby kitten that was very scared & very hungry!
After getting something in its belly he became a little socialite, visiting each one of us and being so sweet. We decided we had to find someone who wanted this little baby!
Almost immediately we had someone say they would love to take her. BUT, she had to talk to her grandkids and their parents…

This lovely lady called her kids about adopting this little kitten for her grandkids! GREAT NEWS! – They worked it out and took this little baby into their family 😊
I LOVE it when things work out with abandoned animals! This little baby kitten found a forever home! That’s a success story in my book! What was lost is found and all’s good in a little part of the world 😊
Have a Great Day!

Our little pack of nursery kittens have all grown up healthy and happy and 3 of the 4 have found a ‘Forever Home’!

Here’s a picture of Sassy & the kittens. She had this small litter of kittens on Easter Sunday night. We kept them dry & warm & Sassy did the rest. | Carters Nursery, Pond & Patio | Jackson, TN
We have just one beautiful kitten left that needs a loving home 🙂 Luna is her name and she is a ‘Calico’.

Did you know that almost ALL calico cats are female? In fact, only 1 in 3,000 calico’s is born male! WOW! Why? The tri-color coat is linked to the X chromosome – it takes two X chromosomes to make the 3 colors…
Luna is the sweetest kitten of them all I think. If you want a healthy, happy, beautiful kitten, come by and look at Luna 🙂
The ‘Easter Quadruplets’ have grown up and all but 1 has found a new home. We have been blessed to watch and be able to help these these little babies grow up. Thanks for the feedback and the great comments. AND thanks to everyone who stopped by to see these little beauties.
Have a HAPPY day!
