I love beautiful sunny days! Even cold ones like today. It’s January, but the days are getting longer… Spring is slowly getting closer by the day! If you get out in the garden and look 👀 you will see all kinds of emerging plants, buds swelling, aquatic plants showing growth on the edges of streams and in the pond. It sure makes me feel good! Today is the 1st Waterfall Wednesday of 2021! So I thought I would share a simple picture of what’s coming in the not to distant future…

A simple Waterfall and stream make such a wonderful sound! It feeds much more than the aquatic plants and birds that come to drink and bathe 😊

I just LOVE #waterfallwednesday! It’s the day of the week that I try to share a beautiful Waterfall that we have designed and built at Carters Nursery, Pond & Patio. Many are Waterfalls that we designed and created from scratch. And others are Waterfalls that we rehabbed and/or completely tore out and rebuilt.

A good part of our business is the rehabilitation of and/or the complete rebuilding of existing Water Features. So many people want and need their Water features to be more Functional, Lower Maintenance and… More aesthetically pleasing 😊 This project covered all those bases.
A low maintenance Pondless Waterfall was just what the Dr. ordered. Before, they were never happy with the looks of the waterfall and they had to add water daily to keep from burning the pump out. Plus, all their fish died…
A beautiful, low maintenance Waterfall will change your life! Enjoy Waterfall Wednesday!
Waterfall memories, ie; throwbacks, are pretty Awesome! When people ask me, Mark, what do you do? I usually say “I design & build Waterfalls!” And, I LOVE my job! ❤️Now, as we get ready to move into another season, I realize that I’ve been doing this for 32 years! That’s a LOT of Waterfalls!

Sprite, our Nursery Elf, wants to tell you that even though 2020 has been CRAZY! Christmas is ON! Santa and all the elves are busy getting ready, so take heart! Christmas IS coming!
We were lucky to have an Elf move in! He has really helped us get ready for Christmas! Come by and see us and say, HI!
Sprite has 2 rules – #1 Since he is an aquatic elf and lives in or near water, he says “Always spend time by your Waterfall”! and #2 ALWAYS keep the spirit of Christmas 🎄 in your heart! ❤️

It’s the last day of November 😳 Tomorrow we enter December, final month of 2020… I need to take a moment to let my mind catch up… A little moment of Zen will help 😊
We just finished this one up and plugged it in. This beautiful Pondless Waterfall will provide years of ‘Zen’ for the new owners 😊
When my mind gets cluttered or I need to slow down for a few minutes, I go out by the Waterfall and sit in my favorite spot and just listen. Within minutes, I feel the relaxation wash over me and I feel better. It’s Amazing what a little old Waterfall can do for your piece of mind 😊

This weeks featured Waterfall is a newly built Pondless Waterfall Feature. This Waterfall sits on a hill flowing down toward the back patio. 🔥 It’s always nice to have a hill to work with!
We had a nice slope to work with on this project. When you look out the back windows from inside the home, this is you focal point! It’s inviting you to come out and listen and watch the birds bathe and drink. Paradise Found!
We put a variable speed pump on this feature so it could be turned up or down at will. Check out this little video below, this is at the lowest setting 👇🏻
Waterfall Wednesday is always a special day! Today is even more meaningful, because tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day 🦃 This new waterfall will be the hit and the conversation piece of the celebration 😊
Have you ever sat and just enjoyed a good fire 🔥 The sound and the flame will relax you, almost hypnotize you. Waterfalls work the same way… The splashing, bubbling and churning of the Waterfalls literally capture your complete attention and take you to a different place. That’s why I tell people that bringing a Waterfall into your Backyard will literally change your life!
This is my offering for #waterfallwednesday! Can you imagine sitting on the boulder in the forefront and feeding your Koi. Listening to the sound of the waterfall in the background is just another benefit 😊

My waterfall serves many purposes.
It’s easy to clear your mind and get to a state of Zen… All you need is a quiet spot by a waterfall…
It aerates my Pond. It helps produce fresh clean water for my pets and other wildlife. It provides southing sounds and lowers my heart rate as soon as I sit down beside it ❤️ Enjoy this Moment of Zen.

If not, you might find this interesting 🤔 If you are, then you know of what I speak… Everyday I get a picture that I personally posted, usually years ago, it just pops up in my home feed, it’s labeled as a “Facebook Memory” and it tells you exactly how many years ago that you originally posted it. Then you get to look back through the comments and likes, and if you want you can share it as a Story or to your feed and friends. At first, I didn’t know what to think about it, but I have grown to enjoy them and I usually share them again.
