What a beautiful day! 86 degrees and sunny 🌞 It has apparently lit a fire under me because I just cant sit down… We have been decorating and cooking, Fall cleaning and slowly getting rid of Summer plants that just have to make way for Fall 🍁
Plus, its been a great weekend of Football 🏈 The TN Vols won and Alabama lost! 💥

Homemade fresh vegetable soup and cornbread is for dinner 🍲 Man I love a nice Fall day!
“A day like a day in summer.
Exceptionally still. The long shadows of the maples
nearly mauve on the gravel paths.
And in the evening, warmth. Night like a night in summer.”
~ Louise Gluck
Have a great evening!

Well, I hate to say “I told you so”…. But, Boom 💥 Brady won and won BIG! 💥 What a great, well played game! I’m not a big talker when it comes to football 🏈, but man, the pushback and BS I’ve gotten over my backing of the “old guy”… Vindication! I knew he and the Buccaneers had this in the bag 💼 They have become quite the team. They worked hard and won the prize. That’s something to be proud of! Hats off to the Bucs!

For me, as soon as Super Bowl Sunday is over – Monday morning starts my Spring preparation’s in earnest. I refer to it as Super Bowl Monday! Plans for the season, plant orders, clean up at the nursery, pond services get started as soon as weather allows, etc… The Nursery is open Wednesday through Saturday for your Gardening and Shopping pleasure. We have – Mulch, Top Soil, Sand, Gravel, Bulk Stone, Palletized Stone, Pond Supplies and much more available for purchase! Our new Boutique/Gift Shop is open as well! Gifts for any occasion are available, particularly, the upcoming Valentine’s Day celebration ❤️

We are putting together a list of Water Gardens & Koi Ponds to service right now, so feel free to give me a call to get on the Pond Maintenance Schedule – 731-424-2206.
PS: Our schedule is filling fast!
Football season is over! Now, it’s time for the real show to begin – The run up to Spring time in Tennessee!
Here’s to the coming Spring!

For the first time in years I slept past 8am on Sunday morning. It was good sleep 😴 but… Sleeping in, ain’t what it used to be 😊
Brunch is on!

Today is Super Bowl Sunday! Always a fun day! And a milepost in the seasons for my business! For Carter’s Nursery, Tomorrow is Super Bowl Monday! A day when we start LOTS of seasonal Landscape chores… So I got that goin for me 😊
Question- Who are you pulling for in the big game? For Jo and I, we got Brady’s team – The Buccaneers 🏴☠️ 🏈 The biggest reason, besides the fact that Brady is probably the best ever at his position (Quarterback), is that The night that Jo had our son Jacob, was the very night that Brady made his first mark on the NFL winning a snowy game against The Raiders to move forward into the Super Bowl – His 1st. Super Bowl win! Can you say “Tuck Rule”… 😳. She laid there, in labor, and watched the entire game with me! At times of serious pain, she would ask, what’s going on? What’s the score? How’s Brady doing? A football 🏈 fan was born! And, a beautiful, bouncing baby boy to boot! Boom💥 Yes, that’s 6 B’s in a row! Thank you, thank you very much!
No matter the outcome of today’s game though, we will have fun watching it!
Have a great Sunday! And, Go Bucs!🏈💥

It’s already starting out to be a very… Interesting 2021. Thank the Lord for Sunday!
We started out with breakfast 🥞 🍳 or should I say Brunch…

Now, it’s on to Football 🏈 Go Titans!

Enjoy your day off! My advice for the future is to turn off the TV 📺 and all other news sources. Your mental health will skyrocket! 😊

Yes, I laid off today… Did some personal things, forgot about my blog, then sat down to watch a little football at the house… With my crew!

With all the B.S. going on in the world, a little football sounds pretty good!
Have an “Uneventful” weekend…
Go TITANS!

It cooled off a bit over night & it’s noticeable this morning. But the grey sky is supposed to give way later today and we will have some sun ☀️ Signs of Spring are everywhere! I’m gonna finish my coffee and make breakfast! Then, a nap 😴 & some Football 🏈! Did I mention that I love January 😊
“January is the quietest month in the garden… But just because it looks quiet doesn’t mean that nothing is happening. The soil, open to the sky, absorbs the pure rainfall while microorganisms convert tilled-under fodder into usable nutrients for the next crop of plants. The feasting earthworms tunnel along, aerating the soil and preparing it to welcome the seeds and bare roots to come.”
~ Rosalie Muller Wright
Have a wonderful Sunday! Spring is Coming!
PS; Go Packers!
