We are planting a beautiful Landscape today! It’s such a beautiful Fall day! WARM! 85 or so🌞 Sweaty ‘Indian Summer’ weather! I’ll take it 😊

Along the line of smoky hills
The crimson forest stands,
And all the day the blue-jay calls
Throughout the autumn lands.
Now by the brook the maple leans
With all his glory spread,
And all the sumachs on the hills
Have turned their green to red.
Now by great marshes wrapt in mist,
Or past some river’s mouth,
Throughout the long, still autumn day
Wild birds are flying south.
~ William Wilfred Campbell
Have a great day!

We spent yesterday on the boat with the dogs enjoying what was maybe the last Hot day of the season… It got up to 89 degrees, the sky was strikingly blue & the river was smooth and so nice 😊 We have had quite a few unseasonably Hot days this Fall! It’s like Summer wasn’t giving up without a fight…

Nature Knows! The Monarch butterflies were moving south in #’s Saturday! They were following the river and were hard to photograph because they were mostly 50’-100’ high… look hard and enlarge to see in this picture.
This last Howrah of Summer has been nice, but it hasn’t felt like Fall yet… That all changes this week. Cooler temps and rain are in the forecast. I am ready to burn a few marshmallows on a fire 🔥 personally 😊
Have a Great Sunday! Here’s to Fall 🍁

What a beautiful Sunday morning! We are in October now, but this last week has felt like July! I suppose I could fuss about it and say it’s too Hot for Fall, yada, yada… But, I’m not 😊 I prefer to think of it as an extended Summer gift 💝 I’m gonna get out today and work up a good Fall sweat & enjoy it! I hope y’all do too 😅
“I cannot endure to waste anything so precious as autumnal sunshine by staying in the house. So I have spent almost all the daylight hours in the open air.”
