I have been blessed with overall good health, so when I do get sick 😷 it’s awful… I’m finally getting over a case of the Flu with a Bronchitis kicker… Believe me when I tell you, it sucks! Cough, weakness, exhaustion, etc… But, thank the lord, I’m finally feeling better!
We are officially in December! I’ve been getting my strength back by tooling around the house a little trying to help get ready for the next big holiday 🎅🏼
Our Christmas tree 🎄 is up & quite a bit of decorating has been done as well. I’m actually starting to get that feeling of Christmas 🙏🏻

We’ve got Lots to do before years end! My biggest challenge is to keep a work/life balance through the holidays so I get to enjoy the season with my family too 😊
In any case, Christmas is coming! Be ready 🎅🏼

The spirit of Christmas which is peace;
The heart of Christmas which is love.”

I’m having my last cup of coffee for the morning and its fixing to get busy… We are hosting the days festivities and there is a LOT to do 😊 I’ve been listening to and watching the rain fall this morning, thinking about all I have to be thankful for… It’s quite a list! 🙏🏻 At the top are all my family and friends that truly enrich my life ❤️ I have been blessed to be able to live and work with the people that are most important to me in my life. Many of them will be here at our house later today, that is a true blessing🙏🏻 When I say the prayer later today I must also remember our soldiers and sailors that couldn’t be home with family today! I am very thankful for them and their sacrifices as well 🙏🏻

We live in the greatest nation in the world!
Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a beautiful week of nice Fall temps, enjoyed the peak of Fall color and got quite a bit of work done to boot… Today was a nice family day of preparing for the Holiday Season that is upon us 🦃🎄 We decorated a bit, went thru all the menu for Thanksgiving to take inventory and be ahead of the game. We also cooked up a big pan of Chicken and sausage gumbo 🥣

Even the dogs helped in the kitchen…

We are only a week and a half away from Thanksgiving😮 This season is just flying by 🌬

Im starting early this year! Im already in the Holiday Season 🎅🏻
Thanksgiving is Coming!

We are at the end of 2020! As the last few days count down, I find myself doing what I always do this time of the year… Planning! Getting ready for next season! I’m hopeful that the coming spring will bring a more normal season for us all! Last years entire event schedule was ruined by COVID-19… NO workshops, no pond tours, no seminars, nothing got to happen. So, I’m really excited and hopeful, that things are going to be much different in this new year!

We also plan to eat our traditional New Years Meal! Hog Jowl, black eyed peas, cabbage, greens, cornbread & more! These old traditions must live on!

In any case, 2021 Is Coming, ready or not… Be ready 😊

We are officially in the “Christmas Season”! We kicked it off with a HUGE Thanksgiving feast! Followed by a road trip, a shopping trip & another party 😊 I think I’m in the spirit of the season already! 🎅🏻🎄💥
Here are a few pics from the last couple days …
We even took part in an Awesome Podcast with some Old Friends!
I hope we all have a wonderful Christmas Season! Today is the 1st. day of December, Christmas will be here in the blink of an eye 👁 Slow down & enjoy 😊
My Christmas wish for you, my friend
Is not a simple one
For I wish you hope and joy and peace
Days filled with warmth and sun
I wish you love and friendship too
Throughout the coming year
Lots of laughter and happiness
To fill your world with cheer
May you count your blessings, one by one
And when totaled by the lot
May you find all you’ve been given
To be more than what you sought
May your journeys be short, your burdens light
May your spirit never grow old
May all your clouds have silver linings
And your rainbows pots of gold
I wish this all and so much more
May all your dreams come true
May you have a Merry Christmas friend
And happy New Year, too

I’ll keep it short today. We wish you all a wonderful weekend of joy as we enter the Christmas season! We will open up Monday morning for normal business hours.
It might seem strange to some to close on the busiest shopping weekend of the year, but it makes perfect sense to us. We hope you enjoy this time with family and friends! The Christmas season is underway. Blink and you’ll miss it 😊
Have a great weekend! See ya Monday…

I always get up early on Sunday morning before everyone else & make coffee and step outside to see about the weather. This morning was no different. Other than the fact I had to clean up after a late night/early morning visitor… Meet ‘The Bandit’…
It’s my own fault I guess… We have a bunch of friends and family coming for Thanksgiving this week, so last night we cleaned out the refrigerator and freezer to make room for the HUGE amount of food that will coming in over the next few days. I sat the bags out on the front porch to haul off today… All raccoons 🦝 are sneaky little opportunists! 😊
Im really looking forward to having a big Thanksgiving! I really hope YOU are too.
Thanksgiving
We walk on starry fields of white
And do not see the daisies;
For blessings common in our sight
We rarely offer praises.
We sigh for some supreme delight
To crown our lives with splendor,
And quite ignore our daily store
Of pleasures sweet and tender.
Our cares are bold and push their way
Upon our thought and feeling.
They hang about us all the day,
Our time from pleasure stealing.
So unobtrusive many a joy
We pass by and forget it,
But worry strives to own our lives
And conquers if we let it.
There’s not a day in all the year
But holds some hidden pleasure,
And looking back, joys oft appear
To brim the past’s wide measure.
But blessings are like friends, I hold,
Who love and labor near us.
We ought to raise our notes of praise
While living hearts can hear us.
Full many a blessing wears the guise
Of worry or of trouble.
Farseeing is the soul and wise
Who knows the mask is double.
But he who has the faith and strength
To thank his God for sorrow
Has found a joy without alloy
To gladden every morrow.
We ought to make the moments notes
Of happy, glad Thanksgiving;
The hours and days a silent phrase
Of music we are living.
And so the theme should swell and grow
As weeks and months pass o’er us,
And rise sublime at this good time,
A grand Thanksgiving chorus.
~ Ella Wheeler Wilcox
Have a great Sunday and a very Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
