Sunday Reflections…

What a beautiful morning! And, WOW what a difference a day makes… Just a couple of days ago we were freezing & talking about record lows, but today we might see 70! I literally had to smack a bug off of me yesterday evening! It feels like a Spring morning 🌞 Maybe Punxsutawney Phil was right? Spring is coming sooner than later! 🙏🏻

Year after year these daffodils are a sure sign of Spring. It won’t be long now until I get to see them bloom again. My Grandma planted them & they are special ❤️😊

I’ve already started my preparations for the season & believe me, I’m ready!! The Super Bowl plays today 🏈 then, it’s on to Spring!

“He knows no winter, he who loves the soil,
For, stormy days, when he is free from toil,
He plans his summer crops, selects his seeds
From bright-paged catalogues for garden needs.
When looking out upon frost-silvered fields,
He visualizes autumn’s golden yields;
He sees in snow and sleet and icy rain
Precious moisture for his early grain;
He hears spring-heralds in the storm’s ‘ turmoil
He knows no winter, he who loves the soil.”

Have a blessed day!

Sunday Reflections…

Such a beautiful sunrise this morning! I was thinking about the fact that this particular sunrise is starting the 2nd. Half of 2018… Yes that’s right- Today marks the halfway point of the year! WOW! Where does the time go? It keeps on moving no matter what we do or where our attention is focused. Time will pass us by if we’re not careful & there is no getting it back… I try to live in the present – Now is so very important! Now is the only thing that is real… Yesterday is gone… Tomorrow is no promise either!

I am going to try to keep that in the forefront through the 2nd half of 2018! To meet each day with an open heart and an empty cup (to be filled).

Watching the sunrise sets the tone for the day.

“Experiencing the present purely is being empty and hollow; you catch grace as a man fills his cup under a waterfall.”

~ Annie Dillard
