Monday Morning Moment Of Zen

We don’t get a lot of snow ❄️ so when my son came in hollering “it’s snowing out there” the other night, I quickly slipped on my shoes and stepped out on the front porch  to see. It was windy & the light that shines on our flag caught my eye.

It was so beautiful watching the flag and the snow blowing in the wind in the light 🌬 I didn’t even notice how cold it was for whole minute or two 😊

The Flag blowing in the wind with the late night snow was almost hypnotic. God Bless America!

This is my offering for my Monday Morning Moment Of Zen. Have a Great Day!

Sunday Reflections…

Tomorrow is Veterans Day, a special day where ALL men & women, soldiers & sailors who have served and are serving, are honored for their service. We had our parade yesterday in downtown Jackson & there will be more today and all day tomorrow!
Thank You! To all who have worked to keep our country strong and Free! God Bless America! 🇺🇸

A BIG Thank You and Salute to ALL the Veterans out there that make it happen on a daily basis!

“A veteran is someone who, at one point in his/her life wrote a blank check made payable to ‘The United States of America’ for an amount of ‘up to and including my life.’ That Is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.”

~ Unknown

Have a great day! Thank a Veteran!

“Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.”

Memorial Day | Freedom ain’t Free…

I was sitting in my boat at the marina yesterday and I got into a conversation with a fellow in the next slip. I had never met him before, but it was like we were old friends. He told me about his uncle who went off to Vietnam when he was 18 years old. He was killed in action after 4 months and they sent his body back home. As he was telling the story his voice broke a bit & I think he started to tear up… He had followed him around as a young boy and his uncle was his childhood hero, lost to a war that he didn’t understand. He said ‘That is what Memorial Day is all about’! Paying respect to the good people who paid the ultimate price for our freedom! The real hero’s, who ‘Gave All’… We can never forget their sacrifice.

Have a Happy Memorial Day! God Bless America!

“Those who have long enjoyed such privileges as we enjoy forget in time that men have died to win them.”
