Sunday Reflections…

As I was sitting this morning writing My blog, my phone chirped… Text message. It was my cousin Kim. She lives along the gulf coast not too far from where the approaching Hurricane Ida is coming ashore. Outer bands of rain are already creating localized flash flooding and the winds are strong. She said they are going to ride it out, told me she loved me and asked for prayers ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Hurricanes bring heavy wind and floods so they are always a threat. But my cousin Kim and her brothers and sisters grew up down there and they have rode out many a storm.

Thatโ€™s me in the redneck Santa hat with my sister and our Mobile Alabama cousins. We try to always get together around the holidays โค๏ธ

So today Iโ€™m gonna say a special prayer for Kim and all the folks down on the Gulf Coast. Ida is coming and sheโ€™s bringing a mess with her ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Your welcome to join me in saying a prayer for all the good folks down there as well ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

โ€œI have both the violent turbulence of the storm and the quiet promises of God in the storm. And what I must work to remember is that something is not necessarily stronger simply because itโ€™s louder.โ€

Have a great Sunday afternoon โ˜€๏ธ

Sunday Reflections…

With all the rain weโ€™ve seen, this morningโ€™s sunrise was a welcome sight ๐ŸŒž So many of our neighbors right up the road here need our prayers, and some help as well. Iโ€™m speaking about the flooding that happened yesterday in Houston, Humphreys, Hickman & Dickson Counties. Many families have lost everything, possessions, homes, cars, pets and much more, many lives were lost!

A local church in Hickman Co.
It happened so fast that highways were shut down. Bridges washed out. Even I-40 was shut down from this flood.

Many are confirmed dead and at least 30 people are still missing. These folks need our prayers, our help and some money to help them rebuild to boot… Many have no power, no edible food, no home to go back too. They are under a curfew and a boil water restriction, so you canโ€™t even get a drink of clean water. Things happen so quickly ๐Ÿ˜ข

Sunday is a day of prayer for most. Letโ€™s send some up for the people of middle Tennessee ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Sunday Reflections…

Thinking about the Awesome power of Nature this morning. Hurricane Barry has come ashore and is flooding from the Gulf Coast to points north… Including our area in Tennessee over the next couple days. Batten down the hatches!

Prayers for the people in the path of this Hurricane.

There is no way to stop or reason with a Hurricane… But if anyone could, it would be Jimmy B. ๐Ÿ˜Šย This is one of my favorites off A1A…

Have a blessed week ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปย And stay dry ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐ŸŒ‚

Sunday Reflections…

Yesterday afternoon we went up to the river to look around at the flood. Many of the worst hit areas still arenโ€™t accessible at all… But from what I saw, many have lost everything! Historic floods = Disaster!

Floods have devastated many areas up and down the TN River.

Below is a prayer I saw online about the flood and the flood victims. Our hopes and prayers are with the folks affected all up and down the river ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

โ€œLord I pray your hand of safety and guidance upon all the victims of the regions under floodย conditions. Bless these people Lord and keep them safe. Do not let the flood waters steal their lives. Drive back the floods to protect their homes and their precious animalsโ€.

~ Amen ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

The water has finally crested & will start to slowly recede now.

Have a blessed day,
