As I was sitting this morning writing My blog, my phone chirped… Text message. It was my cousin Kim. She lives along the gulf coast not too far from where the approaching Hurricane Ida is coming ashore. Outer bands of rain are already creating localized flash flooding and the winds are strong. She said they are going to ride it out, told me she loved me and asked for prayers ๐๐ป

Hurricanes bring heavy wind and floods so they are always a threat. But my cousin Kim and her brothers and sisters grew up down there and they have rode out many a storm.

So today Iโm gonna say a special prayer for Kim and all the folks down on the Gulf Coast. Ida is coming and sheโs bringing a mess with her ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
Your welcome to join me in saying a prayer for all the good folks down there as well ๐๐ป
โI have both the violent turbulence of the storm and the quiet promises of God in the storm. And what I must work to remember is that something is not necessarily stronger simply because itโs louder.โ

Have a great Sunday afternoon โ๏ธ

With all the rain weโve seen, this morningโs sunrise was a welcome sight ๐ So many of our neighbors right up the road here need our prayers, and some help as well. Iโm speaking about the flooding that happened yesterday in Houston, Humphreys, Hickman & Dickson Counties. Many families have lost everything, possessions, homes, cars, pets and much more, many lives were lost!

Many are confirmed dead and at least 30 people are still missing. These folks need our prayers, our help and some money to help them rebuild to boot… Many have no power, no edible food, no home to go back too. They are under a curfew and a boil water restriction, so you canโt even get a drink of clean water. Things happen so quickly ๐ข

Thinking about the Awesome power of Nature this morning. Hurricane Barry has come ashore and is flooding from the Gulf Coast to points north… Including our area in Tennessee over the next couple days. Batten down the hatches!
There is no way to stop or reason with a Hurricane… But if anyone could, it would be Jimmy B. ๐ย This is one of my favorites off A1A…
Have a blessed week ๐๐ปย And stay dry ๐ฆ๐

Yesterday afternoon we went up to the river to look around at the flood. Many of the worst hit areas still arenโt accessible at all… But from what I saw, many have lost everything! Historic floods = Disaster!
Below is a prayer I saw online about the flood and the flood victims. Our hopes and prayers are with the folks affected all up and down the river ๐๐ป
โLord I pray your hand of safety and guidance upon all the victims of the regions under floodย conditions. Bless these people Lord and keep them safe. Do not let the flood waters steal their lives. Drive back the floods to protect their homes and their precious animalsโ.
~ Amen ๐๐ป
The water has finally crested & will start to slowly recede now.
Have a blessed day,
