Water For The Zombie Apocalypse | Carters Nursery, Pond & Patio | Jackson, TN

Question : What is the 1 thing you can’t live without?

Answer : WATER!

Nothing can survive long with out it! Every living creature seeks it out because they have to… Soooo, when the well goes out on a holiday weekend and you have 1,000’s of plants to water & 3 houses to support with water, WHAT do you do??? It’s like a ‘Zombie Apocalypse’! Luckily, I have a great cistern with water that is aerated and clean! My Water Garden!

Luckily, we have a Water Garden and running fountain that keep the water clean and accessible during times like these! Having a clean water source is so important! Another reason to have a Pond 🙂 | Carters Nursery Pond & Patio | Jackson, TN

We found the problem! The circuit board that controls the pump got fried last night in a lightning storm! And on a holiday weekend when everything is closed… Timing is everything!

Nothing bad happens at an opportune moment… Lightning got our well last night. So the dipping and hauling of water has commenced…

Sometimes you have to go ‘Old School’… Buckets and pails can be your best friend when it comes to hauling water! You can use the  water from your Pond to – wash your hands, flush your toilets, water your plants, water your animals, rinse, clean, etc. etc…

A bucket of water in every bathroom sure does help when the toilet needs to be flushed and hands need washing! Thank goodness for my WATER GARDEN! | Carters Nursery, Pond & Patio | Jackson, TN

It’s not a Zombie Apocalypse, BUT, not having water is a BIG deal! It’s a ‘Must Have’! Having a backup plan means everything. Keep a minimum amount of bottled water on-hand for emergencies… AND a good 5 gallon bucket! It’s a must have.

I hope Y’all have a GREAT Memorial Day weekend!

Stay Thirsty my Friends! 🙂
